Worldwide Partners, Inc. China agency wins Independent Agency of the Year Award

Chinese partner of Worldwide Partners, Inc. (WPI), WE Marketing, has been named ‘China Independent Agency of the Year’ by R3 and China Advertising Magazine. WE Marketing is one of an incredible 100,000 advertising agencies in China.

China Advertising Magazine was the inaugural publication for the Chinese advertising industry, having been established in 1981. It is still widely regarded as one of the most influential and esteemed trade magazines in the country. R3 is a search consulting company that covers Asia Pacific, with headquarters in Singapore.

A range of key areas were considered in awarding the agency, with criteria being equally split across four criteria: new business wins; creative awards won, covering both international and local projects; agency initiatives and performance and an Agency Perception Study, run by R3. The Study included 220 face-to-face interviews with senior marketers in China.

WE (that stands for West-East) Marketing Group is an independently owned, full service marketing communications agency founded in October 2005. It is the China-based representative of Worldwide Partners, Inc., the largest network of independent agencies in the world. The agency has seen impressive growth – expanding from 8 original staff to over 250 in just 3 years.

The “West meets East” agency philosophy suits the major brands they work with, such as Mercedes Benz, Roewe (Shanghai Auto), Omega, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Disney English, Panasonic, Diageo and Johnson and Johnson.
