What We Do

In order to build sustainable growth with our clients and bring the a long term value of the brands, at The A team, what we really try to do is to build an “entrepreneurial partnership” with our clients by building three blocks.

First of all, we attempt to launch Client Insight. It is our observation that most clients do not have consistent and clear views regarding key strategic direction beyond the surface. It is probably due to the distraction by routine business operation, or the silo of internal functions and / or unclear decision-making process. Consequently, it causes repetitive work, ineffective activities and waste of resources

Having received a brief from our client, the first step for the A Team is to have overall understandings regarding client’s internal stakeholders’ aims and expectations. That is to say, client’s senior management, marketing, sales, logistic, dealer, etc. will be interviewed by our senior team members.

The objectives are to consolidate and distill the strategic issues, exchange preliminary ideas, ensure key priorities and expectations from client.

Secondly, we capture Industry Insight. On one hand, many client’s organizations are either not always aware of market dynamics and competitive situation. On the other hand, most agencies are not familiar with client’s industry. Therefore, many clients’ activities are often re-active rather than pre-emptive, and the expected performances are often discounted.

In addition to the regular desk research and field visit, The A team captures industry information and the objective is to provide us key industry insight that helps us define our key competitive strategies in a systematic way.

The A Team will then take the input and implications to develop action plan proposal. Consequently, client is able to act and respond in a much more effective and faster fashion.

Thirdly, we take a series of approaches to capture Consumer Insight. Many clients or agencies attempt to generate relevant proposition for their brand by addressing consumer’s explicit end benefit. However, they are often seen as superficial and irrelevant.

The A Team masters a range of ethnographic research frameworks/ tools to capture consumer insight. For example, one of the tools we use is “Means-end Chain”
