Haiti Relief

Partner Prism Worldwide Partners in Jamaica invites you to join them in providing food for those impacted by hurricane Matthew. Mike Hirst, just 550 km/350 miles from the devastation, details how you can help.

Hurricane Matthew sliced through Haiti last week, leaving over 1,000 dead and 1.4 million homeless. If it couldn’t get worse, it does. A cholera epidemic is a real threat and so is famine. The pictures are simply horrific. Haiti was already the poorest country in the western hemisphere, and lost 200,000 souls to an earthquake only a few years ago. Haiti is devastated.

The United States has responded, as has the U.N. and the Caribbean basic countries.

A private sector initiative has been formed in Jamaica, and we – Prism Worldwide Partners – are part of that initiative to get non-perishable foods to Haiti through an organization called “Food for the Poor”.

I would like to urge members of Worldwide Partners global community to help if you can. You can deposit financial donations to the Food for the Poor bank account, details follow:

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd.
St. Jago Shopping Centre
Spanish Town

Any amount, no matter how small would be of help, as these people are desperate. If you do decide to make a donation, please drop me a note at mhirst@prismcom.com and we’ll make sure you are acknowledged in our local media coverage.

Thank you,

Mike Hirst & The Worldwide Partners Team.
